What we collect when you start a case check, who reads it, and how to get it back or have it removed.
Effective July 1, 2026
Plain words first. This page is written to be understood. If a sentence is still confusing, call or text (435) 383-8833 and a person will explain it in English or Spanish.
What we collect
We collect what you give us and a small amount of basic technical information.
- Your name, phone number, email, and preferred language
- What you tell us about what happened to you
- Files you send us, like photos, reports, bills, and letters
- Text and call records tied to your case check
- Basic device and page information so the site works
How we use it
We use your information to run your case check, to reach you about it, and to put an organized file in front of a licensed attorney. We also use it to keep required records.
Who sees it
The intake team, Gregory S. Hach, Esq. as the initial attorney reviewer, and the service providers who run our technology under written contracts.
Depending on the location and type of matter, another law firm may need to assist or handle it. We will identify that firm and ask permission before sharing information.
What we do not do
Some things are simply off the table.
- We do not sell your information
- We do not send your file to several firms at once
- We do not put advertising trackers inside the case check
- We do not use what you tell us to target ads at you
Your choices
You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can stop text messages by replying STOP. You can ask us to stop calling and we will stop.
How long we keep it
We keep case check records for as long as they are needed for the review and for any period the applicable rules require. When a record no longer needs to be kept, it is deleted.
How we protect it
Files are encrypted while stored and while moving between systems. Access is limited to people who need it for your matter, and every view is logged. No system is perfect, so tell us right away if something looks wrong.
Questions about this document
Ask a person. It is free and there is no script.
Legal pages are hard to read even when they are written well. Tell us which part you are stuck on and we will go through it with you in English or Spanish.

Starting a case check does not mean we represent you. This page is not legal advice. Attorney advertising. Depending on the location and type of matter, another law firm may need to assist or handle it. We will identify that firm and ask permission before sharing information.
