In plain words
You tell us what happened. We put it in order and check what is missing. A lawyer reads it and answers you.

How a case check works
Three steps. The form is designed to take about 5 to 10 minutes; a text or call can move at your pace.
Tell us what happened
Use the form, a text, or a phone call. Say it in your own words. There is no wrong way to say it.
Form designed for about 5 to 10 minutes
We organize your answers
We put everything in order and flag what is missing, like a report number or a doctor visit. Then we ask you for it.
Nothing to prepare first
A lawyer reads it
A licensed attorney looks at what you sent and answers with a clear next step.
You always get an answer
What you get back: we need more details, a lawyer wants to talk with you about representation, or the firm cannot take this one. You hear back either way.

Pick the closest one. If nothing fits, say it in your own words.
Things that help, if you have them
You do not need any of this to start. Begin with what you remember. Anything missing gets flagged, and you can text it over whenever you find it.
- Where and when it happened
- Photos of the scene
- Police report or incident number
- Names of people who saw it
- Doctor or ER visits so far
- Insurance letters or a claim number
- Days of work you missed
- Any recorded statement you gave

If something is missing
Missing something will not hurt your case check.
It is better to start now
There are legal deadlines to bring a claim, and they are different in every state. Starting now means the details are still fresh while you remember them.
Choose how to start
Three ways in, and a place to ask a question before you start. The form, a text, and a call all get the same review by the same attorney. The questions are just there if you want to know more first.
Fill out the form
Type your answers at your own pace, one question at a time. No account, and no pressure.

A licensed attorney reads every case check
We organize what you send so the attorney can see the full picture, including what may still be missing. The attorney decides what happens next. If another law firm may be able to help, we name it and ask before sharing your information.
- A licensed attorney decides
- The attorney who reads your file decides what happens next.
- Nothing binds until you sign
- Representation starts only with a written agreement that you read and sign.
- You get a straight answer
- If more information is needed or an attorney cannot take the matter, we say so instead of leaving you waiting.
- English and Spanish
- The form, texting, and the phone line all work in both languages.
Who sees what you tell us
Only the review team sees it
Your answers go to the people reading your case. They are not sold, and they are not used to target you with ads.
You decide who else sees it
If another law firm needs to help with your matter, we tell you the name of that firm and ask you before we send anything.
You can stop at any point
Stop whenever you want, or ask us to delete what you sent. Whatever you send by text or call stays exactly as you sent it.
If another firm may be a better fit
Depending on where you live and what kind of case it is, another law firm may need to help or take it over. We will tell you the name of that firm and ask you before we share anything.
Questions people ask first
How do I know if I have a case?
Only a licensed attorney can answer that for your situation, and the rules are different in every state. In general an attorney looks at whether somebody else's conduct played a part, whether you were hurt, whether the two are connected, and what the law where it happened says about all of that. A case check is how those facts get in front of one.
What does it cost?
Nothing. Asking costs nothing. If a firm later offers to represent you, the fee is explained in writing before you sign anything. We do not quote fees or promise results on this page.
What happens after I tell you what happened?
We organize what you told us and mark what is missing. A licensed attorney reads it. Then you hear back with one of three answers: we need more details, a lawyer wants to talk with you about representation, or the firm cannot take this one. You get a plain answer either way.
Do I need a police report or paperwork?
No. Start with what you remember. You can text photos, reports, bills, and medical records whenever you find them.
Who sees what I share?
The team reviewing your case. If another law firm needs to be involved, we tell you the name of that firm and ask you first. Your answers are not sold and are not used to follow you around with ads.
Can I do this by text or phone instead?
Yes. Send a text or call (435) 383-8833. Someone answers in English or Spanish. The common questions are all answered at https://vettedcases.com/questions/ if you want those first.
How long does it take?
A text or a call takes about 5 to 10 minutes. Some cases need more questions, like a death in the family or a long history with a product or a chemical. Those can take more than one call.
Is Spanish available?
Yes. Texting and the phone line are both available in Spanish. Ask for Spanish and someone will answer in Spanish.
I already talked to an insurance adjuster. Is it too late?
You can still do a case check. Tell us what was said, and whether you gave a recorded statement or signed anything. Those facts matter to the attorney reading what you sent. Deadlines are different in every state and for every kind of claim.
Who reads my case check?
Tell Vetted Cases what happened by phone, text or written case check. Gregory S. Hach, Esq. is the initial attorney reviewer. If another law firm may be a better fit, we tell you its name and ask permission before sending anything. Starting is not the same as hiring a lawyer. Representation begins only with a written agreement you read and sign.
Will I get calls over and over?
No. We contact you about your case check and nothing else. Tell us to stop at any time and we stop.
If your question is not here, ask it anyway. Not sure your situation counts? Ask that too.
Call or text (435) 383-8833Not sure if you have a case? That is what this is for.
It is free. It takes a few minutes. You can stop at any point, and nothing you do here obligates you to anything.
